1️⃣ What This Is

Syntropic Works ("we", "us") provides free innovation tools (Assumption Tracker, Opportunity Scorer, and similar tools), an AI-powered analysis service ("the Analyser"), and a command-line development tool ("the Syntropic CLI"). By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2️⃣ Your Content & Ideas

You own your ideas. Full stop.

• Your startup ideas, business plans, venture data, assumptions, and analysis outputs belong to you
• We don't claim any ownership of your content
• We don't sell your ideas or share them with third parties
• We may use anonymised, aggregated data to improve the service

3️⃣ AI & Limitations

The Analyser (a separate beta product) uses AI (Claude by Anthropic) to generate insights. The free innovation tools do not use AI — they store and display data you enter. For the Analyser:

• AI outputs are suggestions, not guarantees
• We can't promise the analysis will be accurate or complete
• Don't make major business decisions based solely on AI output
• The AI may occasionally produce incorrect or outdated information

4️⃣ Analyser Output & Your Decisions

The Analyser is an informational tool, not a professional advisory service.

Nature of Output

The Syntropic Works Analyser (including the web-based Analyser and the Syntropic CLI tool) uses artificial intelligence to generate analysis, insights, and commentary about business ideas and ventures. This output is provided for general informational and educational purposes only.

• It is not professional advice of any kind — including legal, financial, tax, investment, or business advice
• It is not a recommendation to pursue, abandon, invest in, or refrain from any business activity, employment decision, or financial commitment
• It is not a guarantee or prediction regarding the viability, profitability, or success of any idea, product, or venture
• AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or analysis that is inapplicable to your specific circumstances

Your Responsibility

By using the Analyser (whether via the website or the CLI), you acknowledge and agree that:

• You are solely responsible for any decisions you make, including decisions about employment, investment, expenditure, or business strategy
• You will not rely on Analyser output as the sole or primary basis for any significant personal, financial, or business decision
• You will seek independent professional advice (from a qualified accountant, solicitor, financial adviser, or other relevant professional) before acting on any output where significant money, livelihood, or legal obligations are at stake
• You use the Analyser at your own risk and exercise your own judgment in interpreting and applying any output

Limitation of Liability for Analyser Output

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Syntropic Works shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, Analyser output, including but not limited to:

• Loss of income, revenue, profits, or anticipated savings
• Loss of business, contracts, or business opportunity
• Loss of employment or career prospects
• Any indirect, special, or consequential loss
• Any loss arising from decisions you make based on Analyser output

Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total fees paid by you in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred pounds sterling (£100).

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law.

5️⃣ Acceptable Use

Please don't:

• Try to break or hack the service
• Use it for illegal purposes
• Spam or abuse rate limits
• Attempt to extract our system prompts or agent configurations
• Resell access without permission

6️⃣ Payment & Refunds

The innovation tools are free to use. The AI-powered Analyser is currently in beta and may have paid tiers in future. When we do charge:

• Prices shown will include VAT where applicable
• We'll give reasonable notice before charging
• Refunds handled on a case-by-case basis

7️⃣ Changes & Termination

• We may update these terms with 30 days notice
• We can suspend accounts that violate these terms
• You can delete your account anytime
• If we shut down, we'll give you time to export your data

8️⃣ Legal Bits

• These terms are governed by UK law
• Disputes will be handled in UK courts
• Our liability is limited to what you've paid us (or £100, whichever is greater)
• We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages
